Week 2 Journal Entry
This week has been a good one in this course! I have learned a lot both in and out of class concerning entrepreneurship. I had the opportunity to present with my group on finding your passion and living your passion. One of the things I learned from preparing for our presentation was that doing something you love for a career is very important and has many benefits. The passion that you have for something should fuel your determination to make a career centered on that passion. If there is no market for what you are passionate about, then make one or find it! I love the connection Jeffrey A. Thompson makes between our career and our calling in our lives. They most definitely can be both at the same time, and he recommends it to be that way! We have to remember the gifts and talents God has given us when searching for a career so that we can continue building up His kingdom in every aspect of our lives.
I also had the chance in class to meet a fellow classmate, Dwight, who shares the same career interest as me. We discussed it during one of the activities and have decided to meet outside of class to collaborate and discuss ideas concerning a clothing company. Hopefully we can get a business started this semester!
